The Maltings (Berwick) Trust

Make time to play, explore and imagine with Maltings across Berwick-upon-Tweed.

From family films at our comfortable Maltings Cinema in Berwick Barracks, to inspiring exhibitions at Granary Gallery, and hands-on workshops at Maltings at Hide Hill, there’s something for all ages to discover together.

While our Eastern Lane venue is being redeveloped, you’ll still find us popping up across the town with events and performances.

With affordable tickets, free experiences and plenty to enjoy, there’s always something suitable for everyone.

How to find us

By Train

Berwick-upon-Tweed station is on the main East Coast line with frequent services between Edinburgh and Newcastle.

By Bus

Local services from across North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders stop in Berwick. The nearest bus stops are located at Golden Square and Chapel Street.

By Car – Follow signs on the A1 to Berwick-upon-Tweed town centre.

Maltings Cinema at Berwick Barracks

Berwick Barracks, Parade, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1DF

Public access is via the main entrance on Parade

There is a car park located a short distance away from the cinema on Parade which has 78 spaces and a time limit of 3 hours. A parking display disc is

needed to park here which can be purchased at our venues and local shops.

Granary Gallery

Dewar’s Lane, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1HJ

Granary Gallery is located on the second floor of the YHA and has full disabled access including lift and ramp access.

Bridge Street car park is located next to the Granary Gallery which has 50 spaces and a time limit of 2 hours. A parking display disc is needed to park here which can be purchased at our venues and local shops.

Maltings Cinema at Berwick Barracks is all on one level and has baby changing facilities. There are parking spaces for disabled drivers in Parade car park.

Granary Gallery has full disabled access including lift and ramp access.

There are parking spaces for disabled drivers in Bridge Street car park.

All our venues welcome guide dogs.
