Opening on Saturday 12 September 2026, Culture House Sunderland will be a multi-purpose cultural venue, home to the City Library. It will be packed with interactive, digital features and a year-round programme of fun things to do.

No parking available at Culture House Sunderland but there are lots of public car parks in and around the city centre a short walk away.
There is step-free level access throughout Culture House, and lifts to all floors
Toilets: on all floors, including accessible toilets with grab rails and doors which open outwards. There is also a Changing Places toilet on the ground floor
Buggy store, baby changing and baby feeding facilities on the first floor (near The Den)
